Amber Simpson is Director of the Dianne and Irving Kipnes Health Research Institute and an Amii Fellow at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute at the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on developing computational models to interpret complex biomedical data, with applications in cancer research and personalized medicine. With 50+ HQP trained, she serves as Institutional Lead at the University of Alberta. Within QuantOmics, Dr. Simpson co-leads Stream 3 (AI-Powered Therapeutic Design), mentoring trainees in applying AI to multimodal biomedical data, and teaches in Course 1.3 — AI in Genomics.
